I haven't had a chance to run in memory of Saul, I hope this year I will be able to go! Eventhough, it does not take this only time of the year to remember him, becasue, we usually remember him through out the year my family and I.

This last week was NATIONAL POLICE WEEK. Saul and other Officers from Central Washington were remembered at a very nice luncheon here in Wenatchee.
Saul,
It was great to see your wife and the boys. I know you are smiling down on them as the proud father and husband of a truly amazing family. It is getting more and more difficult to get the time off to participate in the run as it gets more and more popular. You are remembered by so many, and it is a wonderful event. I will be there and attempt the full 10K again this year. My goal is not to come in last again, or at least not by as far. I think Duke is going to pull a trailer behind his bike for me.

You are always remembered in our thoughts and prayers!

I often wonder if your wife and kids read these things on a daily basis like I still do for my fallen officer. I came across your memorial for ideas on how to organize our first memorial run and I had to comment on how much you must be truly loved...you are missed and I know you and my honey are lookin' down on us as proud as you were when you were down here. You and your family are in our prayers.

[size=12]We are retired deputy sheriffs and were glad to have the opportunity to to get to know Deputy Gallegos after moving here. He was a special man as a law enforcement officer and also when he was referee at the kids soccer games. We will always remember him and think of his family.

It has been a privilege and honor to know the Gallegos' and to be accepted as "family". Our community is much the richer for having them living among us.
saul left us a treasured heritage.

I think this is a wonderful idea! I had the pleasure of working with Saul for 5 years at the Chelan Police Dept. He was a great man, great friend, and great officer. He certainly blessed my life.

Hoping to make it over for the run, if work allows. I would consider it an honor to come back and be involved with this event.
