Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run

3K/5K Fun Walk -- 5K/10K Run

Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run

Deputy Saul Gallegos was a Chelan County Sheriff's Office Deputy that was killed in the line of duty on June 26, 2003.  Saul left behind his wife Maria, and their four young sons.  The run is being held to honor Saul for the man, husband, father and law enforcement officer he was.

The first Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was held in Manson, WA on June 24, 2006 and featured a 5K and 10K route.  The 2007 Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was held on June 23, 2007 --- we had 180 people register for the run/walk.

The Third Annual Deputy Saul Gallegos Run was held on June 21, 2008 -- at Singleton Park in Manson.  We featured a 3K and 5K walk, as well as the 5K and 10K runs.  We had a total registration of 183 people....lots of new faces!  We had people from North Carolina, Nevada, California, Oregon, and from all over WA state.  Saul's sisters attended, one sister lives in Wenatchee, the other came up from New Mexico.  If you look at the photos of the Gallegos family you can see how the boys have grown --- and for those of you that got a chance to meet the family, you can see why we enjoy putting on this event.

The Fourth Annual Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was held on June 20, 2009.  The 2010 Run is scheduled for June 26, 2010.
