Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run

The first Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was held in Manson, WA on June 24, 2006 and featured a 5K and 10K route.

The 2007 Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Run was held on June 23, 2007 --- we had 180 people register for the run/walk --- Thank you to all that participated--sponsors, donors, runners, and volunteers.   We had a few glitches that we will work on over this next year so that things will go even better on our next time around.  For our second year we really feel the run went well --- but we know we can always improve!  Our first year brought 17 runners --- the jump to 180 participants was truly fantastic for us and for the Gallegos family. 

The Third Annual Deputy Saul Gallegos Run will be held on June 21, 2008 -- at Singleton Park in Manson.  We will continue to have the 3K walk, 5K run, and 10K run.  Watch the news section for any changes in next year's program. 

Deputy Saul Gallegos was a Chelan County Sheriff's Office Deputy that was killed in the line of duty on June 26, 2003.  Saul left behind his wife Maria, and their four young sons.  The run is being held to honor Saul for the man, husband, father and law enforcement officer he was.

All proceeds from the run will benefit the Deputy Saul Gallegos Memorial Trust.  This trust was established to set aside funds for future educational needs of Maria and Saul's four sons.
